Important note for SL 1.2 motors
The manufacturer states that e-bikes with an SL 1.2 motor will not show accurate speed readings on the bike’s own display when using Gen 3. The BLEvo app can be used for correct speed data. BLEvo is a separate paid app. On the Turbo Creo SL 2, the manufacturer also asks you to update the Levociraptor to the latest Levociraptor software after installation — this is the Levociraptor’s own software, not your bike’s motor firmware.
What Gen 3 adds over Gen 2
- Real speed and distance shown on the MasterMind TCU and on external devices such as Garmin or Turbo Connect.
- Freely selectable maximum speed instead of the fixed presets used on Gen 1 and Gen 2.
- MasterMind TCU data (rider power, motor power, battery level, assistance %) viewable inside BLEvo.
- BLEvo Smart Power working again alongside the MasterMind TCU.
- Professional waterproof enclosure — no need to worry about rain and dirt.
Features shared with Gen 2
- Very quick to fit and remove.
- Speed limit selectable over Bluetooth with the free Levociraptor app or BLEvo.
- Firmware updatable from your smartphone.
- Barometer for altitude and thermometer for ambient temperature logging.*
- Crash detection with GPS position and automatic restore of the speed restriction after a crash.*
- BLEvo Smart Power interaction for smoother, more responsive power delivery, including SL bikes.*
*These features require the BLEvo app, which is a separate paid third-party app. The Levociraptor app itself is free.
Installation
Gen 3 plugs into the bike’s existing connectors and is designed to be fitted with basic tools — the motor does not need to be removed. See the installation guide for the manufacturer’s manual and video.
Gen 2 or Gen 3?
If your bike uses a 2.1, 2.2 or SL 1.1 motor, both generations fit. Gen 3 is the newer option and adds the display integration and selectable speed above; Gen 2 remains available as a lower-priced previous-generation option. For SL 1.2 and the Turbo Tero SL, Gen 3 is the only compatible choice. Compare all generations →
