Two different apps work with a Levociraptor, and they do different jobs. One is free and made by Levociraptor. The other is a separate paid app made by a third party. You only need the free one to use your kit.
The Levociraptor app — free
The manufacturer's own app. It connects to your Levociraptor over Bluetooth and is all you need for day-to-day use.
- Adjust the speed setting — set the maximum assisted speed. Gen 3 and Gen 4 let you choose a value freely rather than picking from fixed presets.
- Change the wheel diameter so speed and distance are calculated correctly.
- Download and install firmware updates for the Levociraptor itself.
- View current barometer and thermometer readings from the kit.

BLEvo — a separate, paid app
BLEvo is an advanced third-party app for Specialized e-bikes. It is not free and it is not made by Levociraptor, but Levociraptor kits are compatible with it and several kit features only become available when a ride is recorded with BLEvo.
- Route following and GPX route saving.
- Assistance adjustment and detailed performance data — rider power, motor power, cadence, battery and motor temperature.
- Adaptive assistance / Smart Power, which uses rider power and heart rate to adjust assistance dynamically.
- Crash detection with an adjustable countdown, automatic emergency message with GPS position, and automatic restore of the speed restriction after a crash.
- Correct speed shown in the app — useful on SL 1.2 bikes using Gen 3, where the bike's own display will not show accurate speed.
- On Gen 3 and Gen 4, MasterMind TCU data can be viewed inside BLEvo.
BLEvo is a one-time purchase and is available for Apple and Android.
Which features need BLEvo? Barometer and thermometer logging, crash detection, automatic speed-restriction restore after a crash, and Smart Power all require the BLEvo app. Setting your speed limit, changing wheel diameter and updating firmware do not — those work in the free Levociraptor app.
Levociraptor firmware is not Specialized firmware
Updating your Levociraptor through the free app updates the Levociraptor itself. That has nothing to do with your bike's motor or display firmware. The manufacturer warns that Specialized bicycle and motor firmware updates can block or disable tuning compatibility, so don't update your bike's motor firmware expecting it to help.
